a response and thank you to Mason

original post

I've had a few days to mull over my post 're: Your Score' after I wrote it. Then I saw this response written by Mason and I figured it's time to verbalize my follow-up thoughts on my personal struggle with using Bear.

Firstly, I would like to thank Mason for writing this post, and I am honored that you think I was 'cool' enough to be featured on your collection.

Secondly, I think I was really ranting about a personal issue with social media, in that I see traces of mainstream social media in the way Bear's discovery page is built. But now I realize it isn't Bear's fault as a platform and my cynicism was largely unfounded.

Lastly, I should probably change my attitude towards blogging on Bear or the way I use this platform. I think that will improve my outlook on this issue.

As an aside, I thought it was weird that 're: Your Score' did not show up on the 'most recent' log of blog entries after it was published. I thought I was being shadow-banned - my paranoia got the better of me that time.

In any case, I'm working on my Alien Invasion story which you can see on my main blog (under the 'Serials" page you will find a page of contents conveniently listing every episode written so far) and a zine for the blog. I look forward to sharing that with you all.
